Jiko Simon Wolf started practising zazen at the Paris dojo with Master Taisen Deshimaru, who ordained her a nun. In 1982, after the passing away of her master, she founded the Chaux-de-Fonds Zen Centre and helped create many dojos and zazen groups in Switzerland.
In 2004, she received Dharma transmission from Yuko Okamoto Rôshi, a close friend of Master Deshimaru and Master Kôdô Sawaki. She is a member of the Spiritual Council and is on the committee of the International Zen Association. She promotes her master’s teaching, mainly in Switzerland and at the Gendronnière Zen temple.
Jiko Simone Wolf is working at the moment on founding Kosetsuji temple near the Chaux-de-Fonds where she lives and where she is responsible for teaching.
