Kesa sewing weekends

These weekends are a wonderful opportunity to come and practise sewing the kesa at the temple of La Gendronnière.

If you would like to start or continue sewing a kesa or a rakusu, you will be accompanied by Zen teachers who have been dedicated to sewing for years:

RATES 2026

• Dormitory - Normal rate : €125
• Dormitory - Reduced rates (students and unemployed) : €88
• Room 3/4 pers. : €144
• Double room : €156
• Single room (subject to availability) : €200

Here are the upcoming dates for the kesa sewing weekends in 2026:

• 21 & 22 November 2026
• 19 & 20 December 2026

Weekend participants arrive on Friday around 5pm.

ON SATURDAY

6.30am: zazen, guen mai and coffee

9.30am-12pm: sewing

12.30pm: meal

2.30pm-5pm: sewing

6pm: zazen

7.30pm: dinner

ON SUNDAY 

6.30am: zazen, guen mai and coffee

9.30am-12pm: sewing

12.30pm: meal

2.30pm-4.30pm: sewing
