Maka Hannya Haramita Shingyo (Prajna paramita in Sanskrit), The Essence of the Sutra of Great Wisdom that Enables One to Go Beyond.
This is one of the most important sutras in Mahayana Buddhism. It is also called, The Heart Sutra in other Buddhist traditions. It is the heart and essence of Buddha’s teaching, summarized in 262 Chinese ideograms. It is chanted every day after zazen in temples and dojos.
The meaning of the sutra: When the bodhisattva understands that all form and phenomena are not different to emptiness, he realizes great wisdom. Through this awakening, he helps all existences to liberate themselves from suffering.

Kan ji zai bo satsu. Gyo jin han-nya ha ra mi ta ji. Sho ken go on kai ku. Do is-sai ku yaku. Sha ri shi. Shiki fu i ku. Ku fu i shiki. Shiki soku ze ku. Ku soku ze shiki. Ju so gyo shiki.
